3 Mobile asked us to bring to life their new offer that enables their customers to chat in real-time with instant messages to friends, no matter where in the world they are.

We used our Windows Live Messenger expertise to create a game demonstrating the immediacy and playfulness of sending as many messages as you like with no cost. We distilled our concept to place the product centre stage, ensuring that our response-to-brief really show-cased the product’s value.

Players start with a scene from the highlands of Scotland. A little Scottish character appears in the landscape and is holding up a sign saying “Angus”. Both players must type this word correctly, using their keyboard, and an instant message shoots over to the little character. Meanwhile another Scottish friend carries the word “Heather” and the players must type and send this message too.

The words appear faster and faster. The challenge is to accurately type as many of them as you can before time runs out. There is no penalty for sending an incorrect message (all 3 Mobile instant messages are free to send!!!), but both players must collaboratively send a certain number of messages to progress to the next exciting level.
